Skye Ayla Mallac is a writer, editor and author from the Garden Route, South Africa. Her work explores womanhood, natural spaces and rhythm.
Her debut poetry anthology, Whole, Gold, Crystalline was published by One Mountain Press in 2022 and her forthcoming debut novel The Bee People (Jacana Media, 2026) was selected by the DSAC Publishing Hub.
Her work has appeared in the FicSci 02 anthology night_sky (African Minds, 2024), the Woordeloos poetry anthology Gathered Seams (Modjaji, 2026), as well as the Argyle Literary Magazine, Schumacher Magazine, and Clarion. She was shortlisted for the Wild Muse Nature Writing Prize 2025, and longlisted for the Heroines Women’s Writing Prize 2025.
